Only knives provided by Tetrosyl are to be used. Any sort of knife that is not company issue will be confiscated. Safety Knives are available to all employees if necessarily required for specific job operation(s). They must be returned to the supervisor/team leader upon completion of the task. Snap off blades must never be used. Knives must only be used for the job for which they were supplied. Knives must never be used for unauthorised purposes. Always use your more dominant hand when cutting, e.g. if you are right handed then use your right hand. If you have to carry a knife, always make sure the tip is pointed down and the knife is carried at your side. NEVER try to catch a falling knife. Do not talk to co-workers while cutting. Ensure that knives are clean and in good condition prior to use. No safety equipment including safety knives must be tampered with. The safety guarding must NEVER be removed to expose the blade within the safety knife. If you feel that the knife provided is not suitable for the job, ask your Supervisor or Team Leader for advice.
